Water in the Quran

Just imagine, in the arid deserts of Arabia 1400 years ago, the Quran proclaimed that everything is created from water. The Quran states in Chapter 21, Verse 30: "We have created every living thing from water." At that time, such a notion may have been hard to believe. However, as scientific knowledge has advanced, we have come to understand that water is indeed the fundamental substance of all living creatures. Cells contain cytoplasm, and cytoplasm is composed of approximately 80% water. Today, science tells us that every living organism on Earth contains anywhere from 50% to 90% water, and water is essential for the sustenance of all living things. In Chapter 24, Verse 45, the Quran affirms that every animal is created from water, and in Chapter 25, Verse 54, it states that every human being is also created from water.
