Water Cycle in the Quran
The Quran is full of miracles, including scientific miracles that have been discovered and confirmed by modern science. One of these miracles is the Quran's accurate description of the water cycle, which is the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the Earth's surface. The Quran describes this process in several verses, showing the scientific accuracy of its descriptions.
In Quran 35:9, it says, "And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and we drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the Earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection." This verse accurately describes the role of wind in the water cycle. The wind helps to move clouds, which then bring rain to the Earth, allowing for the renewal of life.
Another verse in the Quran, 23:18, says, "And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth." This verse refers to the process of precipitation, where water droplets form in clouds and then fall to the Earth as rain.
The Quran's accuracy in describing the water cycle is truly amazing and serves as a testament to the divine knowledge contained within it. As Muslims, we should reflect on these miracles and marvel at the wisdom of Allah, who created this world with such precision and detail.
