Plasma in the Quran
As-salamu alaykum, dear brothers and sisters in Islam,
One of the most remarkable features of the Quran is its scientific accuracy, which continues to astound modern scientists even after 1400 years of its revelation. One such example is the mention of plasma, which is the fourth state of matter discovered by modern science, in Surah Furqan chapter 25 verse 59 of the Quran.
The verse states that Allah created the heavens and the Earth and all that is between them, which includes plasma, the gas that contains an equal number of positive ions and electrons. Until recently, scientists believed that the space outside the astronomical systems in the galaxy was a vacuum, but modern science has revealed the presence of bridges of matter, called plasma, in interstellar space.
It is fascinating to think that the Quran spoke about the existence of plasma 1400 years ago, which is now considered the fourth type of matter alongside solid, liquid, and gas. This demonstrates the Quran's miraculous nature and its timeless relevance to our lives.
As Muslims, we should be proud of the Quran's scientific accuracy and use it as a tool to strengthen our faith in Allah's divine wisdom and power. We should also strive to seek knowledge and appreciate the wonders of the universe that Allah has created for us to explore and benefit from.
May Allah guide us to the path of knowledge and righteousness. Ameen.
