Neurology in the Quran

It's amazing to see how the Quran has revealed knowledge about the human brain that scientists have only discovered in recent years. In chapter 96 verses 15 to 16, the Quran speaks about an unbeliever who forbade Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from praying at the Kaaba. The Quran says, "No! If he does not stop, we will take him by the nasia, a lying, sinful nasia." The word "nasia" means the front of the head, which is where the prefrontal area of the cerebrum is located.

Scientists have discovered that the prefrontal area is responsible for many functions, including motivation, foresight, planning, and initiating movement. It's also the functional center for aggression and in relation to motivation, the prefrontal area is thought to be involved in both good and sinful behavior. It's fascinating to see how the Quran's revelation about the "nasia" being the source of lying and sinfulness is supported by the discoveries of modern neuroscience.

The Quran is truly a remarkable book that contains timeless wisdom and knowledge. Its teachings continue to enlighten us and provide insight into the complexities of the human experience. It's a testament to the power of faith and the beauty of divine guidance. May Allah guide us to understand and implement the teachings of the Quran in our lives.
